This is it. The chair you've been waiting for.
I bought the Efomao office chair after scouring the internet, searching for something that was cute, functional, and unique. (Fast forward two years and it seems like every one and their momma is pushing this chair on TikTok shop. I guess that's what you call being ahead of the curve.)
The Pros
- Built in foot rest with reclining feature.
- Easy to put together. I was able to do it by myself.
- Very comfortable and won't go flat. I've had the chair for almost two years and it's still just as floofy as day one.
- Very easy to clean. I regularly get makeup on it and am able to clean it even after it sets in.
- Big booty friendly. This chair is rated to hold up to 400 lbs.
- You can sit criss-cross in this chair. Even when I was at my highest pregnancy weight I was able to do so.
- You can really sit in it all day. As a work-from-home journalist, I was pulling 12 hours days in this chair and it was completely comfortable the entire time.
- You can set the chair to stay straight up, or loosen the mechanism and let it become more of a rocking chair. I even use it to nurse and rock my baby.
The Cons
- It's kind of short. I'm 5'3" (5'5" if you include my fro) and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone over 5'6, even with its height adjustment features.
- On that same note, the footrest doesn't come out super far. With my long legs I have to curl up on it, I can't really just let my legs hang out.
- The armrests are stagnant. Though they aren't structural, so if you don't like 'em you can just leave them off when you build the chair.
The Efomao desk chair comes in a whopping 16 different colors, so there's bound to be one that fits your aesthetic (I may buy another one). It's currently listed on Amazon for $299. But I've seen it drop as low at $215.
If you get it, let me know what you think. I'd love to trade thoughts.
