Come one, come all – grown kids and children alike. Next year you and your wallets can enjoy Universal Kids Resort.
Opening just 27 miles north of Dallas in Frisco, Texas the themed park is designed for families with young children specifically and will center many of the Universal cinematic universe's iconic brands throughout the park. Promised themed areas include:
- DreamWorks’ Shrek’s Swamp
- DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar
- Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club
- Jurassic World Adventure Camp
- DreamWorks’ TrollsFest
- Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom
- Isle of Curiosity
“We envisioned this park through the unbridled creativity of kids where infinite imagination, curiosity and free-spirited play were core to our design philosophies,” said Brian Robinson, Executive Vice President and Chief Creative Officer at Universal Creative. “It produced a park that’s pure joy and an absolute celebration of what it is to be a kid.”
Gabby's Dollhouse

You and your minions will enter through the Isle of Curiosity where the Gabby from Gabby's Dollhouse will greet visitors with a pawsome dance party.
From there you can branch off and explore all the park has to offer.
We do it better.
Take your kids to a better place – DreamWorks' TrollFest to be more specific. Bop on over to the party side so you can meet Poppy, Branch and the rest of gang. There will also be two interactive play areas: Poppy’s Playland and Trolls Critter Crawl.
What are you doing in my swamp?

Being a family man himself, Shrek has transformed his humble abode into a mini water park that your kids can enjoy just like his triplets do. Pop by for meet and greats with the lovely couple themselves, Shrek and Fiona, take pics in the onion carriage, then stomp & smash your way through the attractions.
After you're done with that, scamper over to meet the most fearless (and furriest) hero, Puss in Boots, at DreamWorks’ Puss in Boots Del Mar. Shake paws with him, his crew, and Mama Luna, too before taking on carnival games.
Banana!

Illumination’s Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club is a battle of yellow vs. purple where our little yellow heroes try to beat their purple counterparts. Join the chaos or sit back and enjoy the show. And, of course, you can meet the little guys, too. The Universal team promises there will be lots of surprises in this area.
Welcome to Jurassic Park. Cue music.
