What features will be enhanced in the new edition of Shenmue III?

Players will be able to enjoy:

  • Shaper textures that feature richer details.
  • Faster load times with smoother gameplay which includes DLSS/FSR support.
  • A lot more NPCs so that the city village feels "more alive."
  • The ability to switch into the camera perspectives you used in Shenmue I & II (Classic Camera mode).
  • Slight gameplay tweaks that include stamina system adjustments, health restoration before fights, and reducing the amount of barriers created by money in the game. (To be clear: there are no microtransactions but there are activities that require your character to have X amount of currency to participate).
  • More time for QTE cutscenes and the ability to skip cutscenes altogether.
  • A more streamlined menu.

Developers say that all major changes can be toggled on and off so you can create the experience you like most.

Pre-order the enhanced version without all the extra goodies for $59.99-$$74.99 (depending on platform).
