Stop your home building, character creating, swimming pool-trapping, & get into this – The Sims 1 and 2 are (allegedly) re-releasing for PC at the end of this month as a part of the franchise's 25-year celebration.
It all started with a rumor brewed from the 25-year celebration timeline posted on the official The Sims social media accounts. The slot for January 27-31 is vaguely named "Nostalgia Now" with no further details given. Their YouTube video explaining the timeline conveniently skipped this block, too. Very sus.
