You read the headline. If you've been meaning to test out Nintendo's GameChat feature, today is the last day to try it for free.
What is Nintendo Switch 2 GameChat?
As the header implies, GameChat is available for the Nintendo Switch 2 and, after today, will be gated behind a Switch Online membership ($19.99+) . GameChat adds online, live chatting to the Switch – like gamers have enjoyed with other ecosystems for years.
You can start a chat by pressing the C button on the right Joy-Con 2 controller. Up to 12 people can chat at a time.
Special Features with Nintendo Switch 2 Game Chat
GameChat isn't just a voice add-on. It also allows up to four people to share screens in real time, even if you're playing different games. You can connect a compatible camera and see each other, too.
So it's essentially like Nintendo is trying to build in its own Discord server. What do you think about it – is this something you're going to try? Will you get a Switch Online subscription for this? Let me know in the comments below.
