With over 20 million downloads since its December 5th launch, Infinity Nikki is set to break the internet yet again with its first major update, the Shooting Star Season.
Releasing Monday, December 30, 2024 and lasting through Thursday, January 23, 2025, players can expect "platforming challenges, time-limited events, and of course, stunning outfits to ring in the new year."
Shooting Star Season storyline
Meteors will grace the night skies, marking the beginning of the Wish Festival. During which, Miraland residents will come together to gaze at the wonderous sky rocks and cast their paper crane wishes.

Seven Special Events
Event #1: Limited-Time Resonance: Celestial Wishes
Head to resonance for a chance to win two limited-time outfits.
Wings of Wishes
Nikki's first new outfit is a 5-star fit called Wings of Wishes. It leans heavily into the theme of paper cranes and stars. She practically drips gold glitter in a pleated, baby doll-style dress that looks origami inspired. Her puff sleeves are complimented by dainty gloves dawning paper crane adornments, a matching paper crane hat in her blue locks, and a paper crane corsage. White astronomy tights and gold & white booties comprised of jewels, stars, and a pleated lining complete the ensemble.
Dawn this dress and you'll receive the power of "a swift, wind-like floating experience on the wings of a paper crane."

Starfall Radiance
The second outfit is very mindful, very demure. Whereas the first sparkled gold like a star, this ensemble is dark blue like the night sky.
Called Starfall Radiance, this 4-star outfit has a floor length gown with lace overlay that has a star-like pattern threaded throughout. The long, flounce sleeves with lace underlay flare with the help of pearl cinches. The same design is mimicked by her gloves which also feature dainty blue ribbons at the wrists. Her hair, now brown, is crowned by a sweet, ruffly bonnet, blue ribbons framing the sides of her face.
This second new outfit has plenty of bling appliques as well as a celestial themed necklace perfectly outlined by the chest cutout.
Use the pose "praying hands" while wearing this outfit and "a shooting star will streak across the sky."

Resonance Rules
During the event, use Revelation Crystals & Limited-Time Revelation Crystals to resonate. Every 10 Resonances will grant you a 4-star or higher piece. Every 20 guarantees a five-star piece. So you better get resonating.
You will also be able to get an Ocean's Blessing. When you activate this, it will guarantee that the first time you roll a 5-star piece you'll win the piece you were targeting. You can even target the pieces of one of these limited time outfits. Be careful though - once you select a target item, you can't change it.
💎 Genius Gem – Reach 160 resonance attempts to win the decoration Uncaged Wishes, which can be set in open areas for display and for photography.
Event #2: Star-Kissed Wishes
This special storyline will unlock after you complete the main quest entitled "Go to the Dream Warehouse."
Event Rules
Complete activities for a chance to win prizes such as diamonds and the exclusive Memory's Stardust earrings sketch. While developers did not share specifics, I know some of the activities are entitled:
- Good Decor, Bad Decor
- Save the Wishing Nebula!
- Truth and Celebration
Event #3: Into a Starry Night
Collect Starlight Shards by completing tasks. Use these to get the 3-star outfit "Path of Sunlight."
Event #4: Adventure Under the Stars
In this storyline, you need to complete both world quests and random quests – called Wish Adventures and Wish Encounters – to gain diamonds & other rewards such as the Overflowing Fortune earrings sketch.
Event #5: Let's Touch the Shooting Stars
Beat the levels and you'll earn the Starlit Wish stylist card, diamonds, & more.
Event #6: Take the Bait, Pink Ribbon Eel
Complete both world and random quests during the Lucky Moments and Fun Encounters events. Doing so will earn you diamonds and the special title Only the Willing. Sounds fancy.
Event #7: Starwish Gifts
Log in for seven days and you'll be rewarded prizes like 10 Revelation Crystals.
Quests
Two major quests will unlock as a part of the event.
The Call of Beginnings
Get ready to answer the call. If you do, you'll unlock a node in the Heart of Infinity and get a sketch for the 5-star miracle outfit Sivlergale's Aria.
Wishful Aurosa
Once you complete the world quest Fifteen Years, Echoes of Wishes, you'll unlock a node in the Heart of Infinity to get makeup sketches named Wishful Aurosa.
Mira Journey
A new journey will await you called the Journey Overture. Complete its tasks to gain "Journey EXP, level up, and receive rewards "like resonate and energy crystals. Distant Athem and Miracle Epic will be available for purchase to unlock rewards like:
- One cloak for Momo – either Roar or Nightfall, your pick
- Stellarites
- Diamonds
- Revelation crystals
- Lucky key
Additional event details
- During Shooting Star Season, you'll get +3% added to your score for every fantasy piece you wear and an additional 3% for every romance piece.
- Finding yourself stuck in a dungeon? Turn on the Assisted Path trigger which will automatically clear the current stage so you can move forward. It's how the developers are protecting the cozy-ness of the game.
- Outfits Gleaming Dance, Snowy Encounter, and Star of Gala will be available in the store alongside Limited Series Packs.
