First, we got a live action adaptation. Then came the announcement of Netflix's reboot of the animated series. Now, One Piece, the arguably most globally popular anime of all time, has set sail for a LEGO retelling.

“This is a truly special collaboration. For the first time, LEGO play and the exciting world of anime meet," said Lena Dixen, Senior Vice President for Core Businesses at the LEGO Group.

A collaboration from the LEGO Group, Netflix, and Tomorrow Studios, the adaptation will follow the storyline of Netflix's live action One Piece series, which gathered 71.6 million views in just four months, and carries a 95% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The series will launch as a pre-curser to the live action's season 2 (release date TBA), recreating iconic moments and scenes from the hit show in LEGO Minifigure form.

But I know why you LEGO enthusiasts are here. To answer your question, yes, there will there be a matching LEGO One Piece collection debuting soon. LEGO promises to make waves with a collaborative drop within the next few months.
