City Town, a Downloadable Content (DLC) expansion, is coming April 16, 2026 to Hello Kitty Island Adventure. The expansion will be available on Nintendo, PlayStation, and PC Platforms for $24.99 USD (yes, that includes Switch 1).
A demo version of City Town is already available on Apple Arcade.
What's included in the City Town DLC?
The DLC will add the City Town region the game as well as a new friend, Usahana Usahana.
Why are fans upset about the City Town expansion?
While some fans were simply rejoicing to have their favorite character join their favorite cast, their was another choir singing a different tune. Their melody? The City Town DLC is too expensive.
As Reddit user gk1400 said, this DLC is 62.5% of the price of the base game – and players are finding it too rich.
