If you love cozy games and Lord of the Rings (LOTR), you’re gonna love this.
Originally expected to debut in 2024, the new LOTR game, Tales of the Shire, is scheduled to release on March 25, 2025.

In this cozy rendition of the beloved hobbit’s tale, you arrive at the shire just before the events of "The Fellowship of the Ring" begin. Start by creating your Hobbit avatar and settle into Bywater, a smaller town within Hobbiton that’s not well established yet.

Based on the game’s description, it seems like it will be a pretty standard sim. You’ll be able to decorate your own Hobbit hole, garden, fish and forage, as well as prepare homemade meals & build relationships with the townspeople.

Developers promise to sprinkle in some familiar faces amongst some newbies — hopefully Gollum stays far away from our cozy paradise.
